Hartmut Schwenk

studied musicology and modern languages. He has worked as an author, including Rowohlt Publishers, GEO, Natur, ZEIT-Magazin and FAZ-Magazin, as well as for radio. Film projects and other assignments have taken him to many countries around the world.

In 1984, he began working in television as a freelance author, editor and directorof science and culture programmes. In 1990, he founded his own film production company, SCHWENK FILM.

Hartmut Schwenk is an elected member of the German Photographic Society and a member of the Science Producers World Congress. He has frequently been a member of the jury at industrial and documentary film festivals, and has acted as an adviser for various festivals and congresses, including the European TV producers’ convention at the European Commission, Brussels.

Many of his films – including "Dr.ing. Don Quijote", "Star Tours", "Mont Blanc", "Züblin worldwide" and "Philip Morris Research Award" – have been shown at international festivals and have won numerous awards.
